Live at Lunch Goes Virtual As New Heart of Bellevue Summer Series

This summer, the Bellevue Downtown Association was to celebrate 20 years of Live at Lunch summer concerts - where Downtown workers, residents, and visitors gather around for live music at lunch hour. But things changed, so Live at Lunch changed too.

Downtown Bellevue’s affinity for live music inspired us to keep the beats coming this summer, now as the Heart of Bellevue Summer Series. We’ve reimagined our live music experience so you can enjoy the tunes safely and comfortably, with virtual options for now and socially-distant live shows planned for when the time is right.

Starting Wednesday, July 15, we’ll livestream great local performances (available exclusively through our Facebook page) from Resonance at Soma Towers. Livestreamed shows will take place every Wednesday from 12pm - 1pm, running July 15 through September 16. In-person shows are slated to begin once King County enters Phase 3 of Washington’s Safe Start Plan, taking place at outdoor venues such as Bellevue Square’s Fountain Court. Check our list of performances to see who's playing.

“The music landscape has changed but we’re thrilled to have different ways to enjoy it this summer,” Mike Ogliore, VP of Events at the Bellevue Downtown Association, said. “Our downtown community will have opportunities to enjoy live performances from the comforts of their home or safely outdoors, and we’re thrilled to support the local music scene during these challenging times.”

Downtown Bellevue is open, the energy is growing, and music will be playing again soon. Discover everything the Heart of Bellevue offers, and enjoy our 2020 Summer Series - save the date on Facebook now.
